A 17km circular hike along the stunning Seven Sisters chalk cliffs between Seaford and Eastbourne, featuring mesmerising coastal views. Starts outside the cafe at Birling Gap. Moderate difficulty with some hills. National Trust paid car park available at the start. By public transport: train to Eastbourne, then bus 12X Coaster toward Brighton, exit at East Dean Garage. Free to join.
Bank Holiday Hike: Seven Sisters Circular
A 17km hike featuring the iconic chalk cliffs of Seven Sisters, traversing forests and coastline between Seaford and Eastbourne. Route includes hills with scenic sea views; bring hiking shoes and packed lunch.

A community gathering bringing women together for a coastal hike combining reflection, sisterhood, and charitable fundraising. Participants connect with nature while supporting the 13 Rivers Trust orphan campaign. Spaces are intentionally limited to 25 sisters to keep the experience safe, organised, and intimate. Prayer breaks for Dhuhr and Asr are incorporated. Group travel option available from London Victoria Station at 9:00 AM.

Free 4-mile guided walk led by historian and author Pamela Earl covering downland and coastal scenery, visiting three churches and a medieval undercroft. Explores the 1545 French raids on the south coast — the Battle of the Solent, the loss of the Mary Rose, and the attack on Seaford Bay. Visits St Andrew's Bishopstone, St Peter East Blatchington, St Leonard's church, and the Crypt Gallery medieval undercroft. Public toilets and café at the yacht club opposite the start.
