Church Buddy to help people with sight loss attend church
SeeAbility is looking for a friendly and reliable Church Companion Volunteer to support a person with autism and visual impairment to attend church on Sundays in the Seaford area. You will help them to enjoy attending church, providing companionship and practical support to make the journey and visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It would need to be on a Sunday, if possible.
Library Buddy needed to help someone get to Volunteering
Volunteer Library Buddy – Make a Difference! About SeeAbility SeeAbility supports people with learning disabilities, autism and sight loss to live, love, thrive and belong. We’re looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer to help a person we support enjoy their volunteering at a local library. The person you’ll be supporting has a vision impairment, learning disability and autism. They enjoy getting involved in their local community and would benefit from having someone friendly and encouraging alongside them. You will help them get to the library and guide them in their volunteering
Maintenance volunteer for Seeability
As a Maintenance Volunteer, you will help maintain and improve the homes and environments of people with autism, sight loss, and learning disabilities. Your support will help create safe, comfortable, and welcoming spaces where people can thrive. This role involves practical tasks such as painting, decorating, gardening, and general DIY. Please note that electrical, plumbing, and gas work are not included in this volunteer role.
Swim Buddy for Seeability
Swim Buddy Volunteer – SeeAbility Do you love swimming, being active, and helping others build confidence and have fun? Join Seeability as a Swim Buddy Volunteer and support people with learning disabilities, autism, and sight loss to enjoy swimming and water-based activities. This role could will supporting sessions in a 25m swimming pool, helping people feel safe, relaxed, and included while having fun in the water. You will support swimming, have a chat and ger some exercise
What goes on the board
Pets, keys, wallets, phones. Stays up for 30 days.
A plumber, a dog groomer, a decent Sunday roast. Stays up for 14 days.
Bin days, bus changes, what is happening on the seafront. Stays up for 7 days.
Free apples on the drive, a beach clean, a street party. Stays up for 14 days.
