Cuckmere River to Alfriston
A 9 mile weekday walk with the Weekday Walks Meetup group. It starts from Seaford and follows the coast to the Cuckmere River, with a view of the White Horse, then follows the river to the historic village of Alfriston for a stop at one of its pubs. The group meets at London Victoria by 9.15am and takes the 9.59am train, arriving at Seaford at 11.48am. From Alfriston the group takes the 125 bus to Lewes at 4.07pm, then trains back to London. Bring a packed lunch, water, snacks, a waterproof jacket and walking shoes or trainers, plus suncream, a sunhat and sunglasses. Walkers should manage 2.5 miles per hour and have suitable insurance.

Friday Walk: Alfriston-Rathfinny Circular (5.5 miles)
A moderate walk of about 5.5 miles from Alfriston, climbing into open country to the Rathfinny Winery, through the estate with a stop for coffee at their hut, and returning to Alfriston along the river. The walk starts at 10am. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, on lead through the Rathfinny estate.
