Alfriston Clergy House: A Tenants Life (Heritage Open Days)

Heritage Open Days exhibition celebrating 130 years since the National Trust bought Alfriston Clergy House, its first ever property. The display looks at the life of its most illustrious tenant, Sir Robert Witt: co-founder of the National Art-Collections Fund (now the Art Fund), trustee of the National, Tate and Watts galleries and co-founder of the Courtauld Institute of Art, who with his wife tenanted the house from the early 1900s until the 1950s. Free entry on both days.
