Plastic Free Seaford

A community campaign empowering the Seaford community to tackle the single-use plastics epidemic. Founded in 2018 by Claire Sumners after she ran beach cleans, the group is part of the Surfers Against Sewage national network of Plastic Free Communities. Activities include beach cleans, campaigning with local businesses and the council, education projects, and community events. Seaford was awarded Plastic Free Community status in 2020. The group offers a reusable party set for hire to make children's parties more sustainable.
