Trees for Seaford reaches 1,400 trees planted milestone
The Trees for Seaford initiative, part of Seaford Community Partnership, has reached the milestone of 1,400 trees planted across the town since the programme began in 2015.
Trees for Seaford, the urban tree planting programme run through Seaford Community Partnership, has planted its 1,400th tree.
The initiative began in 2015 with a simple goal: to increase Seaford's tree canopy and improve the town's green infrastructure. Through bi-monthly volunteer working parties, the group has steadily transformed streets, parks, and public spaces across the town.
Volunteers meet regularly to plant new trees and care for existing ones. The programme is open to anyone — no experience needed, and tools and refreshments are provided.
The group maintains a map of all planted trees on their website, and works closely with East Sussex County Council's urban tree planting programme and the wider Seaford Community Partnership environmental projects including On the Verge wildflower planting and Friends of Green Spaces.
