Firle, Alfriston & Berwick Circular - 11 miles, moderate

Starting in lovely Firle village, this circular South Downs walk climbs to the ridge near Firle Beacon, where expansive views open across the downs and a line of prehistoric burial mounds. The route then heads towards Alfriston over open chalk grassland and quieter valley paths, before continuing to Berwick. Berwick Church is a highlight, celebrated for its remarkable murals by artists linked to the Bloomsbury Set, while nearby Charleston Farmhouse adds another rich cultural note. On the return
